To look around in the train full of people today,
People just like you & me
Returning home from a tiring work-day..
Someone very dearly holding the bag, checking -
"Has the lace flower came off the wrap? Oh, let me put it back!"
Someone trying to pen down something heartfelt on the greeting card,
searching for the 'right' words..
Someone gently touching the bunch of roses in her hand..again and again..
Someone looking at the assorted chocolates with smile- thinking, how she will scream with surprise looking at them!
The usual silence, the dull & dry air in the train,
Has suddenly become soft & fragrant today,
There's smile, there's cheer, there's some excitement under cover,
There's "Love" in the air today!
As the train comes to halt, everyone rushing out of the train,
Running to greet their dearest one, see that one smile, exchange loving kisses & hugs,
To seize that one moment of Love & just forget all the pain!
"Amen!" I say climbing the stairs, and someone repeats after me,
Surprised, I look around ,When a little rose peeps from a gentleman's bag, saying, "It's me!"
